Yohann, art tablet stand

Well, here is another premium iPad Stand, the Yohann, a German/Swiss/Italian product. Due to my love of simplicity and natural materials, I think I like this one even better.

It's the most beautiful tablet stand I've seen. Also it makes the iPad seem to 'float', and somehow makes the iPad more beautiful, is my feeling.

It may not look practical, but it's that too. It holds the iPad much better than one might expect, and all three positions are stable.

Mine, in cherry. With iPad Mini.

Bril idea for a way to have three positions.

I would hurry, because it's a hand-made product, stock is limited.

Oh, and I have found that the W2 model, made for the first iPad Air, works perfectly with that one, but also with the new iPad Air 2, and with the iPad Mini (with the small exception that the most leaned-back position does not work with the Mini in landscape format). In fact it's exactly the width of the iPad Mini's short side, so you can see more of the pretty wood.

I have not tried their glassfiber/plastic models, but with the super-glossy piano lacquer, they surely look really nice too, and at less than half the price.

Here are samples of their woods.

The Cherry was lighter than I expected (though nice, expecially after I gave it extra furniture oil), so I'm getting a walnut also. (If you buy more than one, maybe you can convince them to send a photo before you commit. Say hi from me.)

V. cool.

Yes, mine got a deeper golden glow after I gave it the extra oil.
But it's odd: my bookshelves in Cherry are much darker than my dining table in walnut. With Yohann samples, it's vice versa. (Well, the one I got was lighter than those in cherry shown on the site.)

Is it possible that they sent you the wrong color? Possibly stocked incorrectly, in their inventory, or someone filling the order, perhaps? Of course, since you have "altered" it, it's too late to exchange it... Perhaps, take an image of it, next to their options [that you show] and send them an e-mail about it? Tell them that you "treated" it, before you noticed this? Perhaps they would be kind enough to send you the correct color... Just a thought...

Nah, I thought about that. But I wanted it. But I got a discount on a walnut one.
I'm just a sucker for something unusual. :-)104104

...and unique; yes, I get it... I don't know anyone like dat!! ;-)

What's this last little bit; you goofing around, on the iPad or...the 11:11 kind of thing?

I'm the only one you know?*

Odd, I have no idea how those numbers came there.

*When the poster for Edward Scissorhands appeared many years ago, a friend of mine said he knew immediately that would be one I would want to see. Yes, well, duh! A skinny albino punk with scissors for hands, who wouldn't want to see that!!

I don't understand peple who are *not* starved for anything unusual.

... My problem with my own art has always been that most people don't get it. I showed some drawings to my uncle and aunt, and they said like with one mouth "well, I guess they're nice and all, but we don't really think we understand them".
Do you need to "understand" a storm or a sunrise?

Other than myself? Yes... :-) I don't know any that search high and low for stuff like you or I; it leaves me wanting to be a designer of furniture, clothes, vehicles, electronic and kitchen gadgets, and cameras out of frustration for not being able to find what I would like... :-P

Odd, I have no idea how those numbers came there.

No worries; was just checking I wasn't missing something... ;-)

D'ya know what is sort of funny: I have wanted to see that, but somehow (and oddly), I have not seen it, yet!! No explanation why; just need to see if I can find it... :-)

Agreed... "Status Quo" really does get very boring...very quickly... :-P

["I'm not a robot" *click* (STILL think it's SO FUNNY and...yes...would be interesting to know what exactly it proves; I guess a *click* inside a box is not a robot function?! LOL!!] :-D

Right?! Sad!! :-( It just feels like being told "we're not interested, because it is DIFFERENT than what we are "used to.""

Have you been working on your art, lately? Drawing? Painting? Writing??

Not really, but I've bought materials for painting on leather, and some extra ereader sleeves to paint on.
