Catching the Catcher...

Catcher In The Rye is not available as ebook. Jeeeeeez, come ooooooooooooon!

I hear that Salinger is "protective" of his work. Well, he better wise up, we are quite a few now who, if we can't get a book as ebook, we just skip it. So he loses a reader and a sale.

Given that he passed away in 2010 he must be doing so beyond the veil. :)

Actually this is a big problem in that contracts of that era had no provisions for electronic media. (this makes it difficult to handle situations with living authors). This is coupled with our insane copyright durations
ensures that many mid-century works will vanish as a result.
