Android 3.0

Here's a sneak peak at the next Android system. I admit it seems to be a very large step up in flexibility and features from the Android system running on Dell Streak and Samsung Galaxy Tab.

One did not have to be Nostradamus to predict that this year will be the Big Tablet Year (the year is big, not the tablets, although we can hope). Here's to hoping for some serious competition for the iPad, make the game interesting.

Here is a cool video with glimpses of new tablets.

I think they're trying to cram way too much into that ad and it runs too quickly. I sure hope Google Talk is better than Skype! Looking forward to hearing more about that! :-)

You ain't wrong, it's very durn fast. So is everything these days. A four inch android is old news already!

I'm ambivalent on this. All the processing requirements make for more hardware, more batteries, more weight and less battery life. I'd rather have cheap fast and light especially with respect to an ereader.

Yes, I can certainly see that viewpoint. I hope that we will see some very good specialized ereaders, and that it doesn't go like with word processors, that they get swallowed up by devices which can do everything, but are clumsy and slow.

Then again I really do want my ereader to be able to give me web feeds in a very readable format and such things, and if an ereader is as limited as the Kindle is currently, that's not really included.

Anyway...pretty CRAZY the FRENZY of 'The Gadget Wars!' :-/
