eReaderJoy: thoughts and news from Eolake Stobblehouse about the wonderful new platform of tablets and e-reading devices. Some say, one of the biggest advances to reading since Gutenberg (Okay, I said that).
In e-form, books have never been wider, cheaper or faster available, easier to understand, use, and carry, or more comfortable to read.
ODD to say the least! Not your average way of handling a techy gadget! YIKES! I can just hear the stories, now: "...thrown across the tile floor, as [s]he was...shaking the pad to undo! [GULP!]" :-/
No. It's breaking my heart how VERY STUPID I was! I miss EVERYTHING in that box, right now! Not sure if it would even help to call the post office. They're in the middle of their own "postal HELL:" they're planning on shutting down over 3K offices, nationwide!!
And...the worst part of that whole deal was that there was no way to track it...even at $60 for postage; hence, I'm not sure what good it would do for me to call, see?! :-(
I have been told that it could take up to 4 months so...this would be the "golden" month. Perhaps it would arrive in time for my birthday, this Sunday! That would - damn straight - make my YEAR!! :-D (one can only wish/pray!)
(oh and...oddly...I'm not getting your comments from this site. I just happened to hop onto it to see if you had posted something else. More "odd," huh?!)
It'll turn up. Delays are common, but it's very rare that they actually lose something.
The only time it happened for me, over 20 years ago, was actually lucky: I had a binoculars sent in for repairs via the shop, and the shop said the PO lost it, so I got new ones for free on the PO's bill!
Oooh, really?! That's VERY COOL! Well...I *sure* HOPE so! I'm trying not to think about it, too much; unfortunately, there are *way* more "pressing" matters going on, right now, unfortunately, so...that has kept my mind quite distracted, of late. :-/
lol, I dropped my iPod touch on a tiled floor ....or rather, I flung it: the touch lay forgotten on a towel on top of a table. It's several months ago and still no ill effects have emerged, nor was the screen scratched. Beastly luck! But there are no moving parts inside. A firm shake should not harm the iPad.

Yep, tile floors and alu/glass gadgets are best kept at a respectful distance! :-)
Found your Kindle yet?

Lucky you.
Yeh, I'm sure you can't shake the iPad apart (not with your hands anyway). It's the ol' butterfingers that's the threat. :-)
